Today at the ByCalliste studio, make up artist Tracey Gray Mann, who works with the organic skincare brand Manuka Secrets, will show us a very effective facial skincare routine, using Xandra Van Rooijen as a model!
In the depths of winter, with the cold temperatures and bad weather, what could be better than taking time for ourselves, and taking care of our skin to protect it from the cold!
This thirst can be quenched with wellbeing treatments, pampering, and by enveloping the skin with a very effective skincare routine using Manuka Secrets products from New Zealand. These are made using Manuka honey which can only be found on Maori land.
A great concept with powerful, organic, natural active antioxidant ingredients which fight aging. These products, which have a lovely melting texture, are expertly applied by Tracey. Xandra is her model, and she knows the brand well as she is an ambassador for them.
The ingredients have evocative names, hinting at the incredible result to come: Manuka honey, jojoba, Ylang Ylang, almond oil and so on.
Xandra also kindly agreed to answer some questions about her beauty regime in her capacity as a model and beauty expert.
She reveals her vision of beauty and tells us how she keeps her skin so incredibly luminous!
Xandra knows all the secrets of the brand Manuka Secrets, and she’s sharing them with us!
Tracey begins the skincare treatment from very high quality organic brand Manuka Secrets with extreme purity (UMF 18+) and the benefits of the great antioxidant properties of Manuka honey from New Zealand.
Stage one, Tracey begins by cleansing the skin completely, applying the Cleanse, a facial cleanser with a milky, creamy and melting texture. This is a perfect make up remover which also soothes and nourishes the skin. Two or three sprays are enough for Tracey to dispense the sufficient quantity of product to cleanse Xandra’s skin, massaging her face for 2 to 3 minutes. Tracey massages her with circular movements, not forgetting the neck and décolleté. To finish, the excess is removed with a wet flannel or cotton washcloth.
Stage two, the Exfoliator. This rids the skin of all its impurities and dead skin cells, and stimulates the circulation in order to give it brightness and luminosity.
Tracey applies this exfoliator using gentle, circular movements for 2 to 3 minutes. Xandra then finishes this stage by rinsing her face with a wet flannel or cotton washcloth.
Stage three, the Serum, a powerful antioxidant and anti-aging product. It can be used in the evening, and/or the morning before your usual moisturizer. Just one pump of product is enough for the whole face. Just like the first two stages of the Manuka product routine, Tracey applies this serum using circular movements all over the face, around the eyes, the neck and the décolleté.
Stage four of the Manuka routine, the Day Crème. An antioxidant and anti-aging product, it serves as a protection screen for the skin. It should be used in the morning, as the name indicates! Tracey applies it using circular and vertical movements starting from the jawbone and going towards the top of the temples in order to fight the battle against gravity… She also advises Xandra to tap her fingers lightly all over her face in order to facilitate the penetration of the active ingredients and to help the blood circulate more freely.
Fifth and final stage, the Lip Lustre Pacific Paradise which is a lip balm that softens, plumps and smooths the edges of the lips. A real lip treatment! Its texture is very pleasant, soft and it smells wonderful. In addition to this, it’s very easy to apply with its angled tip.
